Sustainability
Sustainability is our middle name… (well, technically it’s Gift). But we put 'reduce, reuse, recycle’ first in our business model:
Our first priority is to reduce consumption, packaging and the physical movement of goods around the globe.
Instead of holding on tight to our things, they are reused by sharing. Our paper and postcard can also be reused.
Our wrapping paper is printed on recycled paper and can be recycled when it’s tired.
Production and shipping
Our wrapping paper, postcards, envelopes and packaging are produced and printed locally in Australia from uncoated, 100% recycled paper.
Natural, vegetable based inks are used for printing on The Gift Rebellion gift wrap and postcards.
We use Natureflex bags, made from cellulose sourced from FSC forests, to keep your gift wrap dry during shipping. It is certified home-compostable to Australian, European and American Standards.
Impact
For every sheet of The Gift Rebellion wrapping paper sold, we will plant one tree through One Tree Planted, who support global reforestation and conservation.
It’s our aim to work with One Tree Planted to focus on reforesting the Australian east coast after 2019/2020 summer bushfires. We’ll expand our focus as The Gift Rebellion community grows around the world.
The Gift Rebellion donates 50% of profits to tree planting and conservation.
